    • EDUCATION

      All Athletes and Athlete Support Personnel (Coaches and Medical Staff) are required to complete mandatory International-Level anti-doping education via the WADA’s learning platform relevant to their role and submit proof of completion as part of the registration process.

      Certificates are valid for a period of 2 years.

    • THERAPEUTIC USE EXEMPTIONS

      Athletes may have a condition, illness or injury that requires a particular substance or method (i.e., ADHD, asthma, diabetes, etc.).

      If an Athlete is required to take medications that contain Prohibited Substances. the Athlete must apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE).

      Athletes must submit a TUE Application Form completed with their Physician with a full medical file including:

      • A comprehensive medical history, including documentation from the original diagnosing Physician(s)
      • The results of all examinations, laboratory investigations and imaging studies relevant to the application

      Substances prohibited In-Competition only, the Athlete must apply for a TUE to WFDF at least 30 days before the Championships, unless one of the exceptions on retroactive TUEs applies.

    • TRANSGENDER ATHLETES

      If 20 years of age or older at the time of the WFDF Sanctioned Events and if hormone therapy has begun, the Athlete must submit documentation according to the Policy to the WFDF Medical and Anti-Doping Commission at least 30 days before the Championships.
