About These Terms

WFDF Academy is run by the World Flying Disc Federation ("WFDF," "we" or "us"), 3630 Sinton Road, Suite 103, Colorado Springs, CO 80907, USA. These terms apply to everyone with a WFDF Academy account.

Some courses have extra rules on the course page, such as fees, attendance or in-person requirements. You must follow those too.

When you use WFDF Academy, you agree to follow our Bylaws, Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy, and the rules of the Flying Disc Sports in your courses.

Your Account

Use your real name. It's the name we print on your certificates.

Have only one account. Don't let anyone else use your login.

Keep your country of residence and nationality updated. Your Member National Federation can see your course records

If you're under 16, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy for you. If your country sets a higher age, that age applies.

Courses, Tests and Honesty

Do your own work on tests and assignments, unless the course says you can work with others.

Don't get help from another person, shared answers or AI tools during a test, unless the course allows it.

Don't share test questions or answers, including Rules Accreditation questions.

Course materials belong to us or to the partner named on the course. You can use them to learn. You can also use materials marked as downloadable in your own non-commercial coaching and Member National Federation activities, as long as you credit WFDF. For anything else, including screenshots, recordings or live streams, ask us first in writing.

Only upload files you have the right to share.

We record some live online sessions and take photos at in-person courses. The Privacy Policy explains how we use them and how to opt out.

Certificates and Accreditations

We issue digital certificates and badges when you complete a course, including the WFDF Rules Accreditation and coaching courses.

Each certificate has a unique code. Anyone with the code can check it.

We keep a record of your certificates so event organizers and Member National Federations can check them. You can also choose to be listed in the public WFDF Certificate Registry. The Privacy Policy explains what's shown and to whom.

Some certificates expire or need to be renewed. The course page tells you when. Expired certificates show as expired.

We may cancel a certificate if you broke these rules to get it, or after a decision under our disciplinary or safeguarding policies. A canceled certificate shows as not valid.

Many tests, including the Rules Accreditation, are graded automatically. If you think your result is wrong, email academy@wfdf.sport within 30 days and a staff member will check it.

Online Conduct

The Spirit of the Game applies here too. Be respectful, act in good faith and think before you post.

Don't post or share:

• content that harasses, threatens or discriminates against anyone, or makes false claims about them;
• sexual, obscene or violent content;
• content you don't have the rights to, such as someone else's copyrighted work or logos;
• ads or sales pitches;
• partisan political campaigning;
• information you know is false or meant to mislead;
• viruses or anything meant to damage or disrupt the site.

Don't try to get into other people's accounts or data, and don't pretend to be someone else.

If you're an adult, don't send private messages to users under 18. Course facilitators may message their participants about the course. Everyone must follow the WFDF Safeguarding Policy. If you're worried about someone's safety or behavior, email safeguarding@wfdf.sport.

We may remove content that breaks these rules.

Fees, Cancellations and Refunds

Course fees are shown on the course page and include any taxes.

If you live in the EU, EEA or UK, you can cancel a paid online course within 14 days of buying it and get a full refund. When you start the course, we'll ask you to agree that your access starts right away. Once you open the course content, you can no longer cancel for a refund.

Otherwise, fees aren't refundable, even if you don't finish or don't pass.

If we or a partner cancel a course, you can choose a full refund or a place on a later course. We don't cover travel or other costs you paid for.

In-Person Courses

In-person courses include physical activity, and you could get hurt. You'll be asked to sign a participation and risk agreement when you register for each in-person course.

Breaking These Terms

If you break these terms, we may: give you no credit for a test or assignment; hold back or cancel a certificate or badge; remove you from a course; suspend or close your account; or tell the partner or Member National Federation involved.

We'll tell you in writing what we found and what we're doing about it. You can ask for a review within 14 days by emailing academy@wfdf.sport. Someone who wasn't part of the first decision will do the review.

If the issue involves anyone's safety or welfare, we handle it under the WFDF Safeguarding Policy instead. That policy may require us to share information with Member National Federations or authorities.

Closing Your Account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Go to Profile > Data requests, or email privacy@wfdf.sport.

When we delete your account, we keep a basic record of your certificates (name, certificate title, dates, code and status) so people can still check them. The Privacy Policy says how long. You can ask us to delete this record too, unless the certificate was canceled or we need the record under the WFDF Safeguarding Policy.

We'll give you at least 60 days' notice before we close WFDF Academy or remove a course you've finished, so you can download your certificates.

Liability

We provide WFDF Academy and its content "as is." We work to keep the content accurate and the site running, but we can't promise either.

As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses or lost data from your use of WFDF Academy.

These terms don't limit anything the law says we can't limit, such as our responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

You're responsible for any claims caused by what you post or by you breaking these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may fix small errors or update contact details at any time. For any other change, we'll publish a new version and ask you to accept it the next time you log in.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, United States. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.
