Her focus is on strengthening member federations and their systems, connecting athletes, leaders, clubs, partners, and federations across the continent, and creating more opportunities for participation, competition, and leadership, particularly for youth, women, and girls.

As an athlete, coach, tournament director, organizer, and community leader, she understands the sport from multiple perspectives. Her professional experience across project management, People & Culture, operations, and business development has equipped her with practical skills in building systems, managing resources, bringing people together, and turning ideas into action.

OCHORO, Ronny (KEN)

Flying Disc Experience:

Ronny Ochoro has been President of the All Africa Flying Disc Federation (AAFDF), the continental body for flying disc sports in Africa, since 2025. He leads the federation's work to grow Ultimate and other disc disciplines across the continent. That work includes supporting national federations as they build strong structures, and widening access to the sport for young people, schools, and communities. He is a key link between African member associations and the World Flying Disc Federation, and he regularly reports to the WFDF Board on developments, challenges, and opportunities across the region.

He has also worked with international schools, gaining direct experience of youth sport and of how schools can serve as a gateway into flying disc. This background shapes his strong focus on youth and grassroots development.

Professional and Educational Experience: Ronny Ochoro holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics with Information Technology (BSc Agric Econ with IT) and is currently preparing to pursue a Master’s degree in Sports Management at Seoul National University.

Candidate Statement:  My vision for serving as President of the All-Africa Flying Disc Federation (AAFDF) is rooted in accelerating the sustainable growth, professionalization, and reach of flying disc sports across the entire continent. Having dedicated over a decade to building disc sports from university club setups to national and continental administration, I am deeply motivated to ensure African athletes, administrators, and member federations have the structure, representation, and resources needed to thrive on the global stage.

My platform focuses on three key pillars:

Grassroots Expansion & Youth Development: Expanding youth and school-level participation by building structured development pipelines, scaling school programs, and empowering local leaders with coaching and organizational frameworks.

Institutional Governance & Strategic Partnerships: Strengthening the administrative foundation of member federations across Africa, enhancing transparency, and building strategic alliances with national sports bodies, university federations, and international organizations like WFDF.

Continental Competition & Athlete Opportunities: Enhancing the frequency and quality of regional and continental events, fostering elite player pathways, and securing sustainable sponsorship and resource pipelines to make participating in ultimate accessible to every country.

Through my work founding local clubs, directing regional tournaments, launching community initiatives like the Ronny Ochoro Foundation, and representing Africa within the WFDF Board of Directors, I have seen firsthand the transformative power of flying disc sports. I am committed to dedicating my leadership, experience, and energy to serving our member federations and uniting our continent through sport.
