Do I Need a TUE for an IV Drip?

If it's more than 100 mL in a 12-hour period, yes, even if the fluid itself is permitted, unless it's received during hospital treatment, a surgical procedure or a clinical diagnostic investigation. This matters at hot-weather tournaments where on-site IV rehydration is sometimes offered between games. Oral rehydration doesn't need a TUE. This is rule M2.2 of the Prohibited List.
